AX 2012 - Task Recorder Update: At the Kaya Consulting blog, Andre Arnaud de Calavon provides information about the Task Recorder update for Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012, which has been released as a hotfix. He said it was done with Knowledge Base article 2863182. There are two updates available: One for AX 2012 and one for AX 2012 R2. Microsoft released the update because of the business process modeler  (life cycle services) integration. The update makes it possible to generate artifacts that can be uploaded to the business process modeler in Lifecycle Services for Dynamics AX, he says.

"The Task Recorder was used to create documentation for business processes or reproduction scenarios quickly. Within the update also a video recording is generated. You can use this to  show how to perform a task. Also the video can be used for reproduction scenarios as well. When you have downloaded the update, you have to install both a kernel update and an application update."
