Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 R2 Takes Spotlight at Upcoming AX Technical Conference

For Microsoft Dynamics AX technical professionals, the AX Technical Conference is a perennial favorite, combining a look at the newest AX release - in this case AX 2012 R2 - with unique access to Microsoft R&D teams beyond Dynamics ERP.

At this October's event, October 22 to 25 in Bellevue, Washington, Dynamics AX 2012 R2 readiness is the focus for both AX 2012 veterans and people who have been waiting for the 11 countries that will be supported in R2. And with general availability planned for December 2012, the Technical Conference will likely be the last, best opportunity for those who need to make a plan to be ready for a new AX release

Dynamics AX 2012 R2 will introduce support for Brazil, Czech Republic, China, Estonia, Hungary, India, Japan, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland, and Russia, which includes both language support and country-specific features and settings like unique legislative requirements and accounting rules.

In addition to broadening its geographical reach, one of the key improvements in AX 2012 R2, which attendees at the conference will be able to dive into, will be its ability to support large global deployments.

"A key piece of innovation is our foundation and framework, which allows all localized versions to run in the same global instance - one global instance and multiple localizations," says Dynamics AX general manager Christian Pedersen. 

But many of the enhancements and new features in AX 2012 R2 can best be described in the context of the various industries the product focuses.
