  • Managing data growth

Custom label print option not appearing

On her blog, Anitha Eswaran wrote that custom labels allow organizations to create labels for almost any type of data they set up in the system. Common examples include labels for products, locations, or customers.

She stated that after one or more custom label layouts are created, the system automatically adds a print button to the related pages.

Eswaran noted that she has had limited experience setting up custom labels, but she wanted to learn more about how the configuration works. She wrote that she got that chance when the team reported that the print option in Dynamics 365 Finance and Operations was missing from the locations form.

At first, I assumed it was just a custom button, but as I explored the functionalities in depth, I uncovered much more information. The environment was missing the label layouts and label layout datasource. So, I completed the set ups.

In her post, Eswaran explained the troubleshooting she did to finally get the print button to appear.

New security duplication feature in D365 F&SCM

Writing on his blog, Alex Meyer stated that Microsoft is rolling out license validation for D365 F&SCM, and many customers are now working to ensure they're compliant. To support this effort, Microsoft is adding new features to the product.
