Extending agentic Microsoft Dynamics 365 Sales with MCP

On the Microsoft Dynamics 365 Blog, Mike Morton wrote that AI agents are most useful when they can access the right tools and data. In sales, important information such as buying signals, customer conversations, and account insights is often stored outside the CRM, making it difficult and expensive to connect.

Morton noted that the Model  Context Protocol (MCP) is an open standard that lets AI agents securely connect to external systems and data sources. For D365 Sales, this means agents can access trusted information in real time without complex integrations or duplicate data, giving sales teams more complete insights and helping them make better decisions.

In his post, Morton explained how to extend agentic D365 Sales with MCP.

Managing your quota limits in Customer Insights - Journeys

On the CRM SoftwareBlog, an author from Syvantis Technologies stated that Customer Insights – Journeys usage limits can affect whether your campaigns are delivered. If you're not keeping an eye on your monthly interactions and the number of "interacted people," you may not realize you've reached your limit until a campaign can't be sent or your marketing efforts suddenly stop.

The author wrote that every system has limits, so it's important to understand what they are and plan ahead. That way, you can avoid disruptions and stay focused on connecting with your audience.

In the blog post, the author took a closer look at these limits and how you can avoid running into them.

Writing on the Inogic blog, Sam Kumar stated that record creation (preview) in D365 Customer Insights – Journeys helps automate engagement activities by creating Microsoft Dataverse records when customers take specific actions during a customer journey.

Kumar then explained how to use this feature to automatically create lead records in Microsoft Dynamics 365 Sales, making it easier for marketing to pass qualified leads to the sales team quickly and efficiently.
