How to use standard APIs in Business Central

Writing on his Business Central Geek blog, Alberto Soben stated that Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central provides a way to expose data to external applications out of the box via standard APIs. In his blog post, Soben explained what standard APIs are, where to find them, and how to use them in Postman.

He noted that standard APIs are pre-built so that developers can use them to access and manipulate data in D365BC from external applications or services. He then stated that to get a list of standard APIs users can:

• Make a request to the API 2.0 endpoint.
• Access the "page metadata" table from D365 BC.

He also explained how to get the list using Postman, how to use Postman to connect with D365BC APIs, and how users can extend the standard APIs.

Business Central reports: streamline your business with data-driven insights

On the Solution Systems blog, Michael Intravartolo explained that Business Central Reports are a set of customizable reports that give organizations a comprehensive view of their financial and operational data to provide insights to enable them to make informed decisions.
