Dynamics 365 Business Central telemetry with Azure Managed Grafana: private access setup

Writing on his blog, Stefano Demiliani stated that he uses Azure Managed Grafana to create control dashboards for some Dynamics 365 Business Central SaaS tenants for ISV apps that he uses. He noted that for supporting enterprise-level security and also for telemetry data, Azure Managed Grafana has new features (currently in preview) that let you connect to your instance using a managed private endpoint.

Azure Managed Grafana’s managed private endpoints are endpoints created in a managed virtual network that the Managed Grafana service uses. They establish private links from that network to your Azure data sources. Azure Managed Grafana sets up and manages these private endpoints on your behalf.

In his blog post, Demiliani explained how to create a managed private endpoint for your Managed Grafana workspace connected to D365BC telemetry data.

'Filter totals by' in the chart of accounts

An author writing on the Syvantis Technologies blog, noted that he wanted discuss one type of filter in D365BC's chart of accounts that is commonly overlooked – the "filter totals by" function.

However, before digging into that topic, the author provided information on the filter pane as a whole, including opening and exploring the filter pane. The author stated that the standard filter pane is made up of views and two methods of setting up filtering: "filter list by" and "filter totals by," and provided information on each method.

The author explained that the "filter totals by” function helps users more quickly find what account balances they're looking for and then filter them down to their exact needs. This can come in handy in many situations. The author also offered information on the two common uses for this function.
