Microsoft Displaces Salesforce at HP in One of Largest-Ever Dynamics CRM Online Deals
Microsoft has announced a major win for Dynamics CRM Online at HP Inc. that displaces Salesforce. The six-year agreement will deploy Dynamics to thousands of HP employees.
The win also includes new commitment by HP to Microsoft Azure, Office 365 and other Microsoft Cloud solutions for sales and service collaboration. Microsoft told partners in July at WPC 2016 that the deal (at that time un-announced) would be one of its largest ever CRM wins.
For HP, the move to Dynamics CRM Online and other Microsoft cloud services is part of its "journey to transform its sales and partner environment," the company noted in a statement. That transformation includes a more integrated sales experience.
HP will be moving to the Dynamics solution over the next 18 months, giving them a single system for sales and support, HP chief operating officer Jon Flaxman said today at the HP Global Partnership Conference.
"We have chosen Microsoft Dynamics as our CRM solution for our direct selling, partners and services," said Flaxman. "This brings us a cloud-based solution that delivers a more effective and efficient collaboration engine across our business."
"The benefits were compelling for us and our partners. It offers a more integrated sale," he continued. Mobility is key to HP, and the Dynamics solution will also incorporate HP balance and trade information, which sales reps didn't have in the past.
"Instead of funnel management, we are implementing a sales collaboration tool," he said.
