Microsoft today announced that Microsoft Dynamics CRM 2011 for on-premises and partner-hosted deployments has been completed and released for customer download. This release complements the latest version of Microsoft Dynamics CRM Online, which delivers Microsoft Dynamics CRM 2011 as an on-demand service from Microsoft's datacenters and was launched into 40 markets and 41 languages in January

Microsoft Dynamics CRM 2011 is now globally available and existing customers with active Microsoft Software Assurance agreements can access the new version immediately via the Microsoft Download Center.

Microsoft stresses the ease-of-use of Dynamic CRM 2011 as a defining benefit, including the rich Outlook client, improved browser and mobile access, and role-centric design as ways to improve adoption and productivity.

The new release also includes enhancements in its business intelligence and performance management capabilities, SharePoint integration, and access to the new Microsoft Dynamics Marketplace, where customers can view available add-on software options from within the Dynamics interface.

Architectural enhancements and an expanded XRM platform have been receiving less attention in public announcements, but analysts and the technical community around Dynamics CRM have largely been positive about the improvements in developing and deploying custom applications on top of and integrated with Dynamics CRM 2011.

In addition, Microsoft announced that a soon-to-be-detailed benchmark of the new release scaled to 150,000 concurrent users in a single instance while delivering sub-second response times. The new benchmark results will be detailed in a Microsoft Dynamics CRM performance and scalability white paper that will be delivered in the coming weeks.
