Microsoft has acquired the rights to advanced HR tools from two vendors, FourVision and Elevate HR, for use as part of the core HR module within Dynamics 365 Talent.

The new capabilities cover leave and absence, time and attendance, and benefits, according to an announcement from Dynamics 365 general manager Muhammad Alam.

The core HR capabilities (previously referred to as "core HCM") within Dynamics 365 Talent work against the Common Data Service and are designed to integrate with Dynamics 365 Finance and Dynamics 365 Supply Chain Management (formerly Finance and Operations). Talent also offers modular apps like Onboard and the LinkedIn Recruiter-integrated Attract (other apps have been previewed, like Gauge).

Alam emphasized that Microsoft customers are adding Talent's core HR capabilities to their Dynamics 365 ERP solutions. He stated that the "usage" of Talent's core HR capabilities is doubling every six months.

Dynamics 365 for Talent core HR will be adding FourVision's leave and absence, sickness management, and timesheet capabilities.
