Microsoft launches Dynamics 365 recruiting, onboarding apps, building out modular approach

Dynamics 365 for Talent - Attract app 

Microsoft has announced the general availability of two modular apps for Dynamics 365: Attract and Onboard. Formerly part of the overall Dynamics 365 for Talent solution, these modular apps are now going to be sold as standalones at a per user per month price ($8 for one, $12 for both).

The release of these apps is part of Microsoft's effort to position, sell, and deploy Dynamics 365-branded solutions in scenarios other than the traditional ERP or CRM project. Dynamics product marketing lead Alysa Taylor explained in a blog post:

Customers can purchase and deploy the modular apps on their own to rapidly augment the rest of your human resources technology. They are also included as part of our comprehensive human capital management platform, Dynamics 365 for Talent.

Here are Microsoft's descriptions of these two Talent-related apps:

  • Attract: helps hiring managers capture top talent and streamline a time-consuming, expensive hiring process, from initial candidate application to offer acceptance.
  • Onboard: helps set employees up for success by creating personalized onboarding experiences, ensuring their new hires have the right resources, training and connections - both before and after they join the team.
