Microsoft boasts big Dynamics 365 SMB deal growth as more partners bet on Business Central

Microsoft reports that Dynamics 365 Business Central, its SMB ERP solution for both cloud and on-prem, is growing at a triple digit rate. There are more than one thousand partners transacting Business Central, meaning the install base is above one thousand, though Microsoft declined to provide a number. The number of deals is thirty percent higher than a year ago, and deal size has tripled, the company reported this week at the Directions North America 2019 conference.

Sixty-eight percent of the product's revenue is coming from North America, and Microsoft representatives told conference attendees that the company is looking for ways to broaden the market from inside the channel. For example, they have found that Business Central win rates are much higher when a prospect is already using Office 365 or Azure.

Microsoft's own SMB efforts will grow to include more focus on identifying customers who are good candidates for Business Central based on various criteria the company are analyzing, according to Microsoft Business Applications partner lead Cecilia Flaumbaum.
