Microsoft 2025 Q3 earnings outperform on cloud revenue strength

Microsoft reported Q3 2025 earnings per share of $3.46 on revenue of $70.1 billion, exceeding analyst estimates.

In announcing the results, CEO Satya Nadella called cloud and AI essential to businesses. “From AI infra and platforms to apps, we are innovating across the stack to deliver for our customers,” he stated.

Microsoft Cloud revenue was $42.4 billion, up 20% year-over-year, according to CFO Amy Hood. Business highlights announced by the company include: 

  • Revenue in Intelligent Cloud was $26.8 billion and increased 21%. Azure and other cloud services revenue grew by 33%. Last quarter, Azure and other cloud service revenue grew 31%.
  • Dynamics products and cloud services revenue increased 11%, driven by Dynamics 365 revenue growth of 16%. Last quarter, this segment increased 15% driven by Dynamics 365 revenue growth of 19%
  • Microsoft 365 Commercial products and cloud services revenue increased 11%, driven by Microsoft 365 Commercial cloud revenue growth of 12%
