Interview: New Resco CEO Miro Pomsar on mobility and the broader customer opportunity

Mobile applications firm Resco has reached some notable milestones this year. The company celebrated its 20th anniversary last month, announced plans to move to a new HQ in early 2020, and has welcomed a new CEO, Miro Pomsar, who took over from Radomir Vozar in July.

In a new interview with MSDW, Pomsar, who was previously Resco's CTO, discusses the company's ongoing evolution from a pure mobile CRM vendor to a multi-product company. That transformation will include technology advancements in areas that may include artificial intelligence, augmented reality, and wearables, among others.

Pomsar explains that, in addition to continuing the company's partnership with Microsoft, including their work on Dynamics 365 Field Service, he will prioritize business expansion initiatives related to different geographic markets and developing offerings to reach more organizations in need of digital transformation.

MSDW: How will the next five years at Resco differ from the past five?

Miro Pomsar: Resco, well-known for mobility, is becoming a multi-product company. We will provide our customers with a full stack of technology. That means customers can instantly take advantage of ready-to-use products. Or they can customize and adapt one of the vertical solutions provided by Resco or our partners. Finally, the Resco platform will offer opportunities for custom development as well, delivering the proven sync, security, auditing as well as a wealth of UI components. Of course, we're continuing with the innovation tradition – Resco started 20 years ago as a mobile company, you can expect AI, wearables and AR/VR being an integral part of our new and existing products.
