FPE Capital buys into The NAV People, UK-based Microsoft Dynamics VAR
UK-based Microsoft partner firm The NAV People (TNP) has taken an investment from FPE Capital. As part of the move, former Microsoft Dynamics general manager Paul White has been appointed non-executive chairman.
The transaction closed on June 21, 2018, and a source says the deal bought out the shares of TNP chairman Peter Lingham, who owned about a quarter of the business.
The NAV People were advised by Equiteq, according to a report on the deal by the site Business Leader.
White tells MSDW that he will continue with other ongoing roles while joining TNP's board. He serves as COO at Dynasource and is engaged at QBS Group. White spent years at Microsoft, most recently as a corporate GM for Dynamics NAV the SMB space more broadly, and before that as the company's UK lead for the Dynamics product suite. White left Microsoft in 2017.
TNP is a UK-based Microsoft Dynamics NAV and Dynamics 365 VAR, providing software, implementation and support services to mid-size companies, primarily in the UK. The company has around 140 employees, according to officials of the companies.
FPE, a private equity investor in the UK, is partnering with the existing TNP management team, which will continue to be led by CEO Ian Humphries.
"We are very pleased to be in partnership with FPE, who have shown a great understanding of our business model and enthusiasm to assist us in growing the business," TNP CEO Humphries said in a statement. "FPE's significant experience in enterprise software and with scaling businesses will help us to drive TNP to the next stage of growth."
