Flintfox launches Flintech, splitting ISV and Dynamics 365 services businesses

Flintfox may be best known in the Microsoft ecosystem for their rebate and pricing solutions, but the company has also delivered IT services for decades, including in the Dynamics ERP space. In April of this year the company split their services organization into a new business unit, Flintech, and then proceeded to join the finalist list in this year’s Microsoft’s Dynamics 365 Finance Partner of the Year Award.

Flintfox’s system integration experience includes industry specializations in retail, wholesale distribution, and manufacturing. The launch of Flintech as a Dynamics 365 partner will allow the services organization to grow independently of Flintfox as an ISV, according to John Moss, CEO of Flintfox, who will continue to lead both units. He told MSDW he expects the separation of the two organizations to bring clarity to customers and prospects about the capabilities of each business.

The brand separation, supported by separate websites and separate go-to-market activities, was designed to provide customers and prospects clarity about our capabilities; Flintfox as an ISV offering an intelligent pricing platform and Flintech as a provider of Microsoft Dynamics 365 implementation and services. Flintech is a separate business unit led by a team of 25 specialists but remains very much a part of the Flintfox family.

Flintfox announced an investment from Advent Partners in June 2020. Moss joined the company as CEO in February 2021.

Moss attributes his team’s recognition in this year’s Microsoft partner awards to both their ability to sell new seats of Dynamics 365 and to their customer successes. The company added 2,875 Microsoft Dynamics 365 licenses, all of which are tracking at full utilization, he said. He also described one of the customer projects that they submitted to Microsoft:
