Dynamics Profile: Microsoft MVP Andre Margono builds, finds motivation from CRM community

Andre MargonoAlthough he is now a three-time Microsoft Dynamics CRM MVP  - in 2014, 2015 and 2016 - Andre Margono says he continues to enjoy the benefits of the award.

"The biggest benefit for me is the direct communication with the Dynamics CRM product team," he says. "It has been a great experience over the past three years to have direct access to them where I can share my thoughts on certain things. And if I encounter an issue, I can quickly ask them if it's a bug or if it's by design. I get the exact answer from the product team and that gives me clear direction."

Originally from Indonesia, Margono now lives in Melbourne, Australia where he is a solution architect with Barhead Solutions. His job consists of presales, which includes requirements gathering and learning about the customer's current system, as well as implementations and upgrades.

"We are focused on CRM Online deployment so a lot of the customers are either [moving] from Salesforce.com or some on-premises customers go to an online environment," Margono says. "My goal is to help customers be onboard with Dynamics CRM or Dynamics 365."

Margono first started working with Dynamics CRM 4.0 about seven years ago as a software developer. "That was my first job," he says. "I started building ASP.NET and .NET applications and some of the applications that I built required me to integrate with Dynamics CRM. I had my hands on Dynamics CRM SDK and from then on I did multi-year projects."
