At Directions EMEA 2017, Microsoft refines SMB ERP message with Dynamics 365 Tenerife, NAV launch updates

On day one of Directions EMEA 2017, Microsoft has further clarified its plans for launching both Dynamics NAV 2018 and its SaaS sibling, still known by its codename, Dynamics 365 "Tenerife".

Microsoft plans to launch NAV 2018 on December 1, 2017, Tenerife and NAV 2018 R2 due in the spring of 2018. Tenerife will launch with support for a range of countries, including the US, Canada, UK, Denmark, France, Germany, Spain, Italy, Netherlands, Austria, Switzerland, Belgium, Sweden, and Finland. (Sorry, Norway)

And the roadmap graphics Microsoft shared indicate that the NAV brand will not last too much longer. It seems destined to become Dynamics 365 "Tenerife" on-premises. But knowing that the the on-prem solution continues on, and that the Microsoft brand will lead the product forward, alongside the platform options, ought to have pacified many of the most concerned partners.

Here is a collection of informative tweets from Directions EMEA 2017 attendees to help round out the picture of the first day's activities.
