Canada's federal government adopts Azure for sensitive data workloads

Less than two months after Microsoft won the prestigious Department of Defense JEDI contract in the US, it received a contract to provide Protected B cloud services for the Canadian federal government, announced on December 17. The initiative will allow Canadian government agencies to store, process and manage sensitive workloads within Azure and fits into an overall effort to institute government digital transformation, which witnessed the adoption of Microsoft 365 in April.
