Throughout the past week, Microsoft emphasized new deals around data management and analytics, virtual networking and storage.

Among general updates, AKS supports bring-your-own control plane managed identity with Active Directory support GA, Monitor for SAP Solutions is in-preview and the Data Factory connector provides support for Excel and Delta Lake. Additionally, state transition restriction rules are available for Azure Boards, the SQL Managed Instance management pack is out, Monitor for Containers supports recommended alerts, Sphere 20.07 is ready for compatibility testing and Stream Analytics allows debugging queries with the job diagram in VS Code. The Azure team encouraged users to take advantage of up to 52 percent discount with Databricks and notified of issues with other Azure services when non-compliant Certificate Authorities are revoked.
