In Answer to Salesforce’s ‘Chatter’, Neudesic Launches ‘Pulse’ to Augment Dynamics CRM; Bidoma Offers KB Sharing

Pulse, a new enhanced CRM product from Microsoft Corp. partner, Neudesic LLC, is where social interface meets Microsoft Dynamics CRM.

Inspired by popular social networking sites like Facebook and Twitter, Pulse is an enterprise social networking product that creates an interconnected network of people and systems throughout the organization to help keep Dynamics CRM current, according to John Vogeley, Neudesic's General Manager, Product Sales.

Like public social networking tools such as Facebook, Pulse provides an easy-to-use, online interface where users can update the company on projects, share ideas, exchange files and links, and search for information, according to the company.

"Pulse, at its core, is a social networking tool that operates in the business world," Vogeley said. "It enables people to collaborate and share information among themselves without [having to have that information] flow through the official channels. Our feeling is that a traditional CRM system only provides static information. It doesn't offer sales people a way to win business. Pulse allows people to collaborate inside CRM. We put a social layer inside CRM so instead of it just providing static information, we can provide context and add detail."

Pulse allows people and teams to collaborate inside CRM in real-time, providing them with the information they need to make better business decisions, he said.

Pulse lets users create personal pages where they can "follow" their accounts and sales opportunities, like on current major social environments, and share insight with their colleagues, Vogeley said. From the home page, users can see and share comments from their peers on the accounts and opportunities they are following.
