AI Business Solutions Partner Executive Summit 2026: Microsoft forecasts the future of Dynamics 365 partner opportunities
Microsoft wants Dynamics 365 partners to think bigger. Yes, partners attending this week’s AI Business Solutions partner Executive Summit 2026 are still experts in ERP or CRM, Microsoft leaders acknowledged, but these VARs, SIs, and ISVs should now be developing strategies that position them to deliver and support a broader type of AI-first solution.
In Microsoft’s “frontier” vision, the early adopters are running business applications through Copilot chat, Copilot Cowork, or autonomously through agents built with Copilot Studio, Scout, or other platforms. And they likely will want to pay attention to a new AI “super app” acknowledged during Microsoft’s earnings call this week that will be for “both consumer and commercial experiences,” and is expected later this year.
At the event, Microsoft CVP for Dynamics 365 ERP Georg Glantschnig told the audience that this evolution will allow partners with business applications expertise to scale their impact.
“Agents don't replace experts, they help experts to scale, and this is what really makes this [approach] win. And, of course, our partners are helping us to do that.” Customer successes Glantschnig and other Microsoft representatives shared involved the use of the D365 Procurement Agent, Finance Agent for M365 Copilot, and a custom planning agent. “We are learning as we're going also getting your opinion on what's working, and I wanted to really share it,” he added.
What else will partners be doing in a Microsoft ecosystem dominated by AI? According to Glantschnig, helping customers operate agents to build intelligence.
“I haven’t heard from any leader or any employee or any organization, saying, ‘We have enough intelligence. I don't want more intelligence.’ I think helping customers operating intelligence is a great business to be in.”

Mike Morton, in his new role as CVP for Dynamics 365 Sales, shared over a dozen examples of ROI reportedly achieved by Dynamics 365 customers thanks to agents with D365 CE. The results included 123 hours saved in sales lead qualification in a given time period at Sandvik, 10% increase in customer satisfaction at Lenovo, 66% increase in case deflection at Apollo, and improved sentiment in 74% of cases at Visa, among others.
