Bluefort Advances Agentic AI in Business Central with Two New Embedded Agents
Bluefort has launched two AI agents for Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central, now available on Microsoft AppSource.
The release reflects a broader shift in ERP: moving AI from peripheral copilots into embedded agents that operate directly within transactional workflows.
The two solutions, the LISA Business Contract Agent and the Due Diligence Sentiment Agent, take distinct but complementary approaches to this model.
Removing Friction from Contract Execution
The LISA Business Contract Agent targets a persistent inefficiency in subscription-based businesses: translating customer intent into system transactions.
The agent reads inbound emails and attachments, converting them into:
- Sales Quotes and Sales Orders
- Subscription creation and updates
- Contract changes such as upgrades, cancellations, and pro-rata adjustments
For organizations managing recurring revenue at scale, this removes a manual layer that has traditionally limited operational efficiency.
Importantly, the agent operates within defined governance boundaries. Pricing and discount logic remain fully controlled by Business Central, and invoicing is only triggered under predefined conditions.
All actions are logged, providing traceability across emails, transactions, and contract changes.
Embedding External Risk Signals into ERP
The Due Diligence Sentiment Agent introduces a different capability layer, focused on decision support.
As Bluefort’s first AL-built agent, it performs sentiment analysis on customers and vendors using publicly available web data. The output is a scored assessment from 1 to 10, supported by cited sources.
This brings a traditionally external process, due diligence, into the ERP environment.
The implication is operational: when risk signals are surfaced inside the same system where financial decisions are executed, response times shorten and evaluation becomes more consistent.
Bluefort has indicated that the agent is an early-stage release, with further capabilities expected as the product evolves.
Toward an Agent-Based ERP Model
While the two agents serve different roles, they align around a common direction.
- One executes processes
- One informs decisions
Together, they reflect an emerging “agent-based ERP” model, where AI is embedded directly into workflows rather than layered on top.
For Business Central users, this points toward a future where:
- Operational tasks are increasingly automated
- Decision-making is augmented with external intelligence
- ERP systems evolve from systems of record into systems of action
