Vena buys Acterys to enable operational planning solutions
Vena has acquired Acterys in a move aimed at helping Microsoft-centric organizations better connect finance planning with execution.
The deal enables Vena to combine its Excel-native financial planning and analysis (FP&A) platform with Acterys' operational planning and application development tools built on Power BI. Together, the companies are introducing what they call "Orchestrated Planning," an approach designed to align decisions and actions in real time across the business.
The combined platform is designed to align planning and execution across finance, IT and operations by bringing people, processes, data and technology together in a shared environment, according to the companies.
At a practical level, the deal brings together tools many Microsoft customers already rely on. Vena provides an Excel-native foundation for financial planning, while Acterys adds Power BI-based planning, write-back and analytics built on Microsoft Fabric.
