Enabling database log in D365 F&O

Writing on her blog, Anitha Eswaran stated that database logging lets you keep track of certain changes made to tables and fields in the system.

She added that the types of changes it can track include insert, update, delete, and rename key operations.

Eswaran noted that when you set up logging for a specific table or field, every change made to it is saved in a special database log table called SysDatabaseLog, which is stored in the environment database.

She pointed out that it's important to know that database logging is meant for tracking individual transactions performed by users, not to record automated transactions that run as part of batch jobs.

In her post, Eswaran explained how to enable a database log in Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance and Operations.

Declutter mode in time entry calendar (preview)

On his blog, Kuldeep Gupta wrote that the time entry calendar (preview) feature in Dynamics 365 Project Operations introduces the declutter mode (preview only) to make time entries easier to read and better organized.
