When Alicia Keener started her "Tip of the Day" blog in March 2023, she had a simple goal: to help just one person. She had no idea that within months, her insights into Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance and Supply Chain Management would reach professionals across the world.

And what began as a personal challenge quickly grew into something much bigger, eventually earning her the Microsoft MVP recognition in May 2024.

"Here I am, close to two years later, and I went from having 900 connections on LinkedIn to more than 8,500, and my website has had more than 102,000 page views from readers across 150 countries," Keener says.

Keener's efforts caught the attention of André Arnaud De Calavon, a long-time MVP from the Netherlands, who reached out in late 2023 and offered to nominate her. After an official nomination in January 2024, and she received the MVP award in May.

Specialties and areas of focus

Keener’s work with Dynamics began in 2009 with Microsoft Dynamics AX. She has worked with companies in the apparel, textiles, and industrial sectors, as well as large marketing firms, including Omnicom, where she led a team that implemented Dynamics AX 2012 across 45 locations.

In her current role as a technology director for life sciences at RSM US LLP, Keener focuses on implementing D365 F&SCM for life science companies, including pharmaceutical, medical device, and biologics firms.

In 2023, her team won the Microsoft Partner of the Year Award, tied to one of the successful projects that Keener has led.

The evolution of the Dynamics AX/D365 F&SCM landscape

Keener has witnessed a significant transformation in the Dynamics ecosystem since she began working with Dynamics AX in 2009. In the early days, she says businesses tended to adopt best-of-breed or hybrid software solutions, integrating multiple systems to fill functionality gaps.
