Microsoft has taken its share of criticism from partners in the highly competitive SMB ERP channel in recent years for the company's unwillingness to share data on the size of their Dynamics 365 Business Central customer base. But recently the company updated their official guidance, revealing on their main marketing page for Business Central that the solution has more than 40,000 customers.
That number is up from the older guidance of “more than 30,000” that Microsoft representatives had shared for a while. It also positions Business Central as a larger customer base than Oracle NetSuite in terms of raw numbers, which as of publishing this article, claims "over 38,000" customers.
Other stats Microsoft has shared in recent months: Business Central has increased monthly active users by 75% year-over-year, and the product will be available in more than 170 countries as of the next release wave. NetSuite claims 219 “countries and territories”.
