Managing Power Apps offline access with M365 security groups
Writing on his blog, Tomasz Poszytek wrote about a challenge he faced during a project to create a Power App using offline capabilities.
Poszytek explained that a customer asked him to build an app that would work offline. So he investigated the new Power Apps offline features that use Microsoft Dataverse for storing data. He pointed out that the new functionality is "absolutely brilliant" even though it's in preview.
In his blog post, Poszytek explained how to use the new features and also mentioned the security issues you need to consider.
How to clear SharePoint people picker column in Power Automate
On the Let's Power Automate blog, Tom Riha explained how to update SharePoint items in Power Automate using the "update item" action.
However, he wrote that there’s one situation where it’s not that simple – clearing the people picker column. Riha noted that no matter what value you use, empty or null, it just won’t remove the user.
You can recognize a single people picker column by the 'claims' word in the column name. If it expects just one user it'll ask only for an email address. But if you keep the field empty, or try to update it to a null value, it'll do nothing.
In his blog post, Riha provided information on how you can clear the single people picker column as well as how you can clear the multiple people picker column in your Power Automate flow.
