Education and nonprofit ERP vendor Sparkrock acquired by Ionic Partners

ERP vendor Sparkrock announced they have been acquired by Ionic Partners LLC.

Sparkrock’s solutions focus on K-12 educational institutions, non-profit, and human service organizations and are built on Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central. Their Sparkrock 365 application includes industry-specific capabilities in areas including finance, workforce management, payroll, and employee scheduling.

Sparkrock serve clients in Canada and the US. They launched Sparkrock 365 in 2019.

Andy Tryba, founder and CEO of Iconic Partners, will take over as Sparkrock’s CEO, succeeding Colin Dickinson. Dickinson and Sparkrock co-founders FJames Faw and Nicola Dickinson have joined Sparkrock’s advisory board.

Ionic Partners invests in B2B software and data firms with the goal of helping them scale to new stages of growth, according to their web site. They acquired custom software platform Gigster in 2021.

Sparkrock has participated in Microsoft’s industry initiatives in the nonprofit space, including the Microsoft Tech for Social Impact group’s Dynamics-focused nonprofit apps and accelerators.
