How to synchronize multiple units of measure between Dynamics 365 Business Central and Dynamics 365 Sales
On the ArcherPoint blog, Jessie Wang stated that in previous versions of Dynamics 365 Business Central you weren't able to track multiple units of inventory in your business – for example, you purchase an item in one unit of measure, such as pieces, but then you sell that same item in another unit of measure, such as packs.
However, Microsoft added this functionality in D365BC Release Wave 2 2021 and you can access it from the feature management area. In her blog, post Wang explained how to use this new feature, adding that once you've enabled it, you can't disable it. So she said to be sure to test it in your sandbox before enabling it in your production environment.
Wang also included a video to further illustrate how to enable this feature, test your connection to D365 Sales, map the tables, and set up the synchronization of multiple units of measure between D365BC and D365 Sales.
Zoom in on your data in Business Central
On the Business Central Explained blog, Inge Bruvik stated that new and existing D365BC users are sometimes confused by the number of data fields available in the different tables. Combine that with the fact that not all available fields in a table are visible in a Business Central page, and it can be hard to overlook what data is actually stored in a table.
The answer to the problem is the zoom function in Business Central, which is available in any Business Central page for which you have the right user permission.
However, Bruvik noted that the name of the function is really not "zoom," but page inspection. Users sill call it the zoom function because that is what it was called in older versions of Business Central, back in the days of NAV.
In the post, Bruvik explained how to access the page inspection feature and how to use it. He stated that he uses the page inspector, which is a debugging tool, when he needs to figure out what is happening within Business Central.
Report 12471 'Shipment Request M-11' bug with skipping lines
On Andrey Baludin’s Blog, Baludin stated that recently he found an "artifact." The bug in RU localization has been confirmed in all versions of D365 BC as well as in NAV 2016, 2017, and 2018. He stated that NAV 2013 and 2015 are probably also affected.
