Sales engagement platform Outreach has announced a partnership with Microsoft to integrate with Microsoft Dynamics 365 for Sales.

This is not the first collaboration between the two companies. Microsoft's venture capital arm, M12 (formerly Microsoft Ventures), has invested in Outreach since 2016. Recently, M12 participated in Outreach's 2018 Series D funding round, which brought Outreach's total funding to $125 million, according to officials of the two companies.

Outreach is a sales engagement platform that manages customer interactions across email, voice and social, and leverages machine learning to guide representatives to take the right actions, according to officials. Outreach's customers include Cloudera, Glassdoor, Pandora and Zillow, which rely on Outreach to help them improve visibility into sales activity and performance.

When the integration becomes available, the companies' joint customers will be able to use Outreach's sales engagement platform while syncing with Dynamics 365 to drive more effective and efficient selling cycles and ultimately, more deals, officials said.
