Microsoft Dynamics 365 Now Available from Datacenters in Germany
Microsoft has announced that Dynamics 365 is now available from datacenters in Frankfurt/Main and Magdeburg in Germany for businesses in Germany, the European Union and European Free Trade Association countries.
In September, Microsoft announced that Azure was available from German datacenters and that Dynamics 365 would be available in the second quarter of this year.
Dynamics 365 for Sales and Dynamics 365 for Customer Service are the first services to be offered from the Microsoft Cloud in Germany, with Dynamics 365 for Field Service and Dynamics 365 for Project Service Automation coming soon, according to Microsoft officials.
Dynamics 365 customer data will be stored exclusively in Germany. Data trustee T-Systems International, an independent German company and subsidiary of Deutsche Telekom, will manage customer data in the new datacenters from two cloud control centers in Berlin and Magdeburg.
That offers additional controls as customers can only be accessed with the permission of the customers or the data trustee.
"Dynamics 365 Germany ensures that businesses can access our cloud-based productivity tools from German datacenters, enabling them to meet strict compliance provisions," said Sabine Bendiek, area vice president, Microsoft Germany, in a statement.
Bendiek said that customers will benefit from more freedom of choice, while Germany will benefit from greater innovation.
