Microsoft Dynamics 365 update to CRM partners includes unified client plans, CRM app improvements
Microsoft offered Dynamics CRM partners a range of updates on the Dynamics 365 customer engagement app roadmap at ExtremeCRM 2016 this week.
Noting strong analyst ratings and a cloud stance that it believes will resonate with customers, from productivity and business apps to cloud platform, data, and security, Microsoft presented a lengthy list of the current and upcoming enhancements and new features coming to the Dynamics 365 Enterprise customer engagment apps (formerly collected together as Dynamics CRM).
There wasn't much tweeting around the Dynamics 365 Business Edition sales and marketing apps (perhaps it was in the NDA portion of the day), but there was some chatter about updates provided on progress there, too.
Some of the highlights, as noted by an actively tweeting conference audience, included:
- An acknowledgment by Microsoft that the partner incentive program will continue to improve;
- A "unified client" that is coming to Dynamics 365;
- A focus on data integration and management strategy;
- Improvements to enterprise search;
- New tools like Email Engagement and Relationship Insights
- An upcoming preview of event management functionality
- Greater reach of IoT capabilities into CRM entities
- A custom controls framework due in Spring 2017
Here's a look at some of the most enlightening posts, centered around the Microsoft keynote by Dynamics 365 GM Param Kahlon.
