Microsoft Offers Dynamics CRM Online, Office 365 From Australian Data Centers

Microsoft Dynamics CRM Online and Microsoft 365 are now available from Australian datacenters.

Additionally, Microsoft Office 365 has just completed a formal security assessment for unclassified sensitive government data via Australian Government's Independent Registered Assessors Program (IRAP). 

Both announcements ensure that customer data will be protected, easily managed and compliant from private clouds, public clouds and hybrid clouds, according to Pip Marlow, Managing Director, Microsoft Australia.

Marlow said Office 365 is the first cloud productivity service to provide IRAP assurance in Australia, while a similar IRAP assessment for Dynamics CRM Online is already also underway.

This news comes on the heels of the Microsoft's recent ISO 27018 announcement for Microsoft Azure, Office 365, Dynamics CRM Online and Intune. The announcement is particularly relevant to federal and state government agencies, as well as healthcare, education, and commercial enterprises, she said.

For Microsoft customers in the region, the rollout will provide even faster performance, offer geo-redundant back-up, and help customers address data residency issues, particularly in sectors such as healthcare, education, government and financial services, according to Marlow.

A number of companies are already using Office 365 and CRM Online to improve productivity and operate more efficiently through better collaboration and connectivity.

One of Australia's newest banks, the customer-owned mutual Beyond Bank, will use Office 365 and Dynamics CRM Online across the organization to focus more on its customers, Marlow said.
