Track Social Media Information Against Contacts

On his Dynamics AX Tip of the Day blog, Murray Fife notes that the contact management feature within Microsoft Dynamics AX lets you track an unlimited number of phone numbers, email addresses, and websites against a contact. However, they're only the direct contact types. But because we live in the social media age, there are many other sources of information to track against contacts.

Fife says just a small tweak to the configuration in Dynamics AX, will let you add additional contact media types and start tracking all this information. So now you will be able to get the full scoop on you customers and contacts.

Pending Vendor Invoice Data Import Utility

Recently Fatima Zafar of consulting company Systems Limited had to develop a data import utility as a part of a particular project. One of the subparts of the data import utility is the Pending Vendor Invoices utility. The architecture of the data import utility is as follows:

  • Staging: Data is first import into staging table, where It can be viewed, validated or cleared by the user
