The implementation replaced the legacy TCS application and covers all the major operational areas of the business including forecasting, electronic data interchange orders, planning, scheduling, intake, quality control, ripening, production, pick and dispatch, label checking, invoicing and core financials, the company said.

Gates said the benefits of operating in real time means the company can react quickly to events as they happen.

"We can already see that the system is helping to improve efficiency while reducing waste and labor costs," he said. "This will provide us with increased business agility leading to improved customer service."
