How to Clean Up Old Synch Tables in CRM: The Customer Effective blog shows us several ways to effectively clean up your database, which they recommend doing before upgrading to Dynamics CRM 2011:

"If you take a tour of the tables in your Microsoft CRM database, you may see some tables that begin with SubscriptionStatistics and SyncEntry.  These tables are created when users synchronize CRM for Outlook... From time to time you may notice that the number of these tables will grow beyond the number of users that you have... In any of these cases, abandoned sync tables will be left behind in your database.  Typically these tables are very small and don't eat up a lot of space; however, in extreme cases, a large number of these tables can accumulate, and can add bloat to your CRM database-especially a concern if disk space is limited."

Adding Attachments to Templates and Bulk Email in CRM 2011: In the MS Dynamics CRM Team blog, Raju Kulkarni explains how CRM 2011 enables you to add attachments to bulk email and use email templates when distributing Campaign Activities and Quick Campaign:
