Verifone Announces EMV-Ready Payment Solution for Microsoft Dynamics AX, RMS

Verifone is partnering with Microsoft to offer an EMV-ready Payment as a Service solution certified for Microsoft Dynamics AX for Retail and Commerce solutions. EMV (Europay, MasterCard and Visa) is a global standard for cards equipped with computer chips and the tech used to authenticate transactions made with chip cards.

Verifone will present its offering at The NRF Big Show 2016 in New York City from Jan. 17-20.

Security at POS, simplified standards compliance

Verifone's Payment as a Service solution bundles payment hardware, software and support services to enable merchants to centrally manage their entire payment systems.

The solution helps merchants handle Payment Card Industry (PCI) compliance as well as deal with the challenges associated with the expensive and time-consuming process of certifying their point of sale (POS) software with processors to support EMV, officials said.

"Ongoing changes in standards and requirements have made managing payments increasingly more complex," said Ashvin Mathew, general manager, Microsoft Dynamics, in a statement. Mathew added that partnering with Verifone will simplify this process. Merchants can update their devices to support PCI changes and card brand-specific EMV requirements without having to re-certify each time software changes occur.

Verifone's solution is built on the company's Secure Commerce Architecture (SCA), which connects payment terminals directly to the Verifone Payment Gateway, preventing sensitive payment data from entering POS software. By removing sensitive payment information from the POS, Verifone's Secure Commerce Architecture prevents exposure of that information to malware that cybercriminals often use to infect POS software and steal cardholder data, officials said. Additionally, because Verifone's Payment as a Service solution offer end-to-end encryption, the cardholder data is useless to cybercriminals - even if there's a breach.
