Pirmin Bercher, Head of Business and IT Alignment at CARBOGEN AMCIS and a lecturer at Baden-Wurttemberg Cooperative State University, shared his insights and details about his participation at Summit Europe.

The debate about moving to Dynamics 365(FO)
Pirmin is speaking at the event, offering a current AX user's perspective on the changes to the Dynamics product line:
I'm having a round table discussion about customer fears of going to the cloud with D365FO. For us, it's always been on premises. The way toward loosening control with cloud is something of a concern. Most 'older' ERP installations have been under the total control of the company. Currently having all things in house, it's strange to have it all outside the organization. We'll have Microsoft and MVPs to discuss if this is a real fear or just a felt fear and how to overcome it.
From me as a customer, I'm very keen about customer experiences moving from the old AX world to the new D365FO world and all of what is around there. Last year, I was in Dublin and the moment you're there, there are so many interesting sessions. The challenge is timing. [This year], migrating, developing and setting up D365 will be my focus.
