Microsoft and travel software vendor Amadeus have formed a new partnership focused on public cloud technology.

Amadeus will move its technical platform to Microsoft's public cloud, and the firms plan to collaborate on joint product development for the travel industry.

Amadeus offers industry software solutions across a broad range of travel-related businesses including hospitality, airlines travel agencies, cruises, and many more. The company has a market cap of about €26 billion. Its 2020 fiscal performance was hit hard by the pandemic with revenue down 61% to €2.2 billion and EBITDA down nearly 90%.
