Tectura India Pushing Into Food and Beverage with Process Manufacturing for Dynamics NAV

Microsoft partner Tectura India said it is aiming to increase its customer base in the food and beverage sector with software to streamline product manufacturing.

An ERP application built on Microsoft Dynamics NAV, Tectura Process Manufacturing for NAV addresses the requirements of companies in the food and beverage industry, specifically the firms that manufacture and distribute products, according to the company.

Although there are many ERP applications available, only a few of them can fully address the requirements of the food and beverage industry, according to Tectura officials. Tectura said it addresses all the business process MIS (management information systems) requirements as well as regulatory compliance requirements.

Tectura said the Tectura Process Manufacturing for NAV is an officially certified Microsoft vertical solution that incorporates capabilities for the process manufacturing industry to help clients improve financial management and corporate governance. Additionally, the company said its solution helps food and beverage companies make better decisions based on real-time information and also forecasts the impacts of those decisions.

According to the company, the Process Manufacturing Solution for NAV helps food and beverage companies better comply with FDA regulations including current Good Manufacturing Practices and the Bioterrorism Act by providing a traceable audit trial as part of the ongoing production process.

"This is for process manufacturing (manufacturing items using continuous processes, rather than the manufacturing of discrete items) applied to food and beverage," said Rob Helm, an analyst at Directions on Microsoft.
