Subscription and Usage-Based Billing Vendor goTransverse Enters Microsoft Dynamics NAV Channel

Microsoft Dynamics NAV Gold Partner Advanced Business Systems (ABS) is now a value-added reseller of online subscription billing solutions goTransverse, the first in the NAV channel.

ABS, which is also based in Austin, will be a reseller of TRACT, goTransverse's cloud-based subscription and usage-based billing solution.

As part of joining the goTransverse VAR channel, ABS will manage a TRACT Dynamics NAV Connector that will provide a seamless integration between NAV and TRACT. The integration also means TRACT will be a Microsoft Certified solution, Messer says.

Headquartered in Austin, Texas, goTransverse, a wholly owned subsidiary of German multinational company Siedentopf KG, was founded in 2008. The company was launched because their executive team saw the opportunity to offer billing-as-a-service via the cloud, says James Messer, the company's co-founder and CEO.. And they developed TRACT, a cloud-based, Internet-scale billing and revenue automation platform.

Messer says that TRACT is less expensive than traditional on-premises systems, speeds deployments and helps companies turn real-time data insights into revenue.

Teaming up with ABS and Dynamics NAV makes sense for goTransverse because traditional ERP platforms are not meant to manage subscriptions or usage-and the NAV marketplace, especially is lacking in that, Messer says.

The TRACT platform takes the best parts of highly-complex custom enterprise billing systems found in the communications, utility, finance, media and entertainment industries to a boarder market, Messer says. TRACT meters and rates transactions in near real-time to enable usage-based billing, as well as tiered, tapered and/or dynamic charging and pricing.
