SBS Group, Socius are First to Become Master VARs for Microsoft Dynamics

As Microsoft promised in recent updates on the Master VAR program, the company has identified two Microsoft Dynamics resellers in the US as Master VARs this week - SBS Group, who put out a press release, and Socius, who have already put up a contact form for prospective sales affiliates.

The Master VAR program allows larger resellers to work with smaller partners to take over the sales, billing, branding, and other administrative aspects of the reseller business while allowing the sales affiliate to still deliver implementation services to its clients. Microsoft has not yet made a fully public announcement on the selection of SBS Group and Socius, but has circulated the news through PartnerSource, Microsoft's partner-only resource center. 

SBS Group has branded their program the "SBS Partner Network", or SPN, which SBS Group president and CEO James R. Bowman describes as a project that is already well under way.  In a statement he said:

"Over the past 18 months, we've developed the SPN to meet the needs of Dynamics' Partners who want to succeed in building their business and delivering exceptional customer service. We expand their solution portfolio, vertical expertise, and reduce their operating costs. We enable them to continue to serve their clients and their increasingly complex needs. It is a win-win program for everyone. We believe this is the future of partnering in the Dynamics channel."
