Microsoft and SAP announced a significant new partnership, building off of the earlier project Embrace initiative, in a bid to increase customer adoption of SAP Cloud Platform and S/4HANA on Azure. Together with system integrators, the two companies plan to offer what a statement termed "holistic bundles". Microsoft will resell SAP Cloud Platform in conjunction with Azure, helping with overall migration of customers from on-prem to cloud.

Based on customer feedback the two companies will provide a combined support model and offer recommended solutions and reference architectures as road maps for customers. SAP indicated it will support future HANA Enterprise Cloud, along with migrations of existing customers, using hyperscaler infrastructure.
