Sana Plans SaaS e-Commerce Solution for NAV 2013, New LS Retail Connector

Sana Software has announced its plans to release Sana Commerce Express 2013, a web shop for Microsoft Dynamics NAV 2013, with a Software-as-a-Service (SaaS), subscription-based model.

The new e-Commerce solution is aimed at smaller companies looking for fixed price starting point, and the company says it will be available not only for NAV 2013 but for the installed base on earlier versions as well.

Hosting will have some options apparently, one of them being Windows Azure, according to the company.  One of the key benefits will be quick deployments that deliver a professional, branded integrated store front, for an affordable price, without any hassle, officials said.

Sana Commerce Express and Sana Commerce Express 2013 are expected to be available in Q1 2013.

Additionally, Sana Software unveiled their plans for a Sana - LS Retail Connector to enable a seamless online web shop experience that fully leverages the business logic of Microsoft Dynamics NAV and LS Retail, a provider retail and hospitality industries solutions based on Microsoft Dynamics and .NET technology.

Sana Software is developing its own tight integration with LS Retail, the same way it integrated with Dynamics NAV and Microsoft Dynamics AX, officials said. Sana relies on the business logic in NAV and AX for the "common" data and calculations. In the case of the LS Retail connector, it directly accesses the LS logic to be able to calculate retail promotion prices, to use the multi dimensional variants, etc. Loyalty (saving and redeeming points) will be added as well, officials said. Sana uses LS Retail's web services in cooperation with LS Retail and one of its partners, company officials said.
