Salaries for North American Microsoft Dynamics ERP Professionals Increased Broadly in 2012, Survey Indicates

The salaries of Microsoft Dynamics ERP professionals are going up - in the US, at least.  And Dynamics AX contractors are seeing the nicest boost, year over year, compared to GP and NAV workers, according to recruiting firm Nigel Frank International's Microsoft Dynamics Salary Survey covering the twelve months from Q2 2011 to Q2 2012. The report results are derived from a combination of survey results and the company's own placement of Dynamics professionals.

The recruiting firm says it will be releasing updated data and reports for additional countries as well, and much of the data is available through the salary reporting tool on their web site already.

Permanent salaries for employees of partners and customers

The Dynamics NAV market sees the largest discrepancy in permanent salaries between partners and end user organizations, with partners paying 5.3% more on average.  Nigel Frank attribute this to "a larger demand for resources within the NAV partner channel as well as the end user trend to hire more junior-level support, training and administrative resources."

AX salaries at partner and end user organizations were nearly identical - a 1.9% advantage at partners.  But AX freelancers see a large disparity depending on their clients; the rate for freelancers at partners is 28% higher than at end user organizations. "This difference is likely due to the higher percentage of lower-paid training adn support staff on contract at End Users," the report suggests.

Similarly, whereas GP-related salaries were nearly identical between partner and end user organizations, GP freelancers are paid nearly 50% more when contracting for a partner.  Nigel Frank concludes this is influenced by larger numbers of mid-level support personnel brought in to support GP end users.
