Retail Realm Releases Dynamics RMS Alternative

Retail Realm, a software developer and Microsoft Dynamics distributor, has released Retail Management Hero (RMH) worldwide.

RMH is a standalone inventory management and point-of-sale (POS) software system that is not based on a Dynamics product but is designed as a next-generation replacement solution for Microsoft Dynamics Retail Management System (RMS), which is nearing its end-of-life.  

Mainstream support for Microsoft Dynamics RMS Store Operations 2.0 ended on July 10.

RMH lets small to midsize retailers (like convenience, grocery, apparel, sporting goods, wine and spirits, gift and specialty stores) efficiently manage all their back-office and POS activities, according to Retail Realm.

RMH keeps all of the key features and functions of RMS, adding new functionality and enhanced features as well, officials said.

Co-developed by Retail Realm and Retail Hero, RMH is aimed at retail stores that want a complete omnichannel retail system, but don't need or want large IT infrastructures.

"Microsoft Dynamics partners and customers have been asking us for a long time how they can adopt a new POS solution without losing key RMS functionality or losing data when migrating to a new system," said Afshin Alikhani, chairman of Retail Realm, in a statement. "We designed RMH to give them everything they valued in RMS without installation headaches or complicated data migration so they could protect their investment."
