The plans for 2021 release wave 2 of the Power Platform reveal a maturing set of developer tools, more document automation capabilities, new entry points for non-developers and non-BI experts, and, as usual, a whole lot more.

Fortunately, experts in the Power Platform community have been writing about various planned updates in the release that they will be watching for. The release wave covers new features arriving from October 2021 to March 2022.

Power Automate

Microsoft MVPs Lisa Crosbie and Megan Walker talked about their top picks across both Dynamics 365 and Power Platform for 2021 release wave 2. They noted a Dynamics 365 Marketing tie-in for Power Automate that can trigger events in external systems as part of a customer journey.
