Orion Will Be Next Major Release of Microsoft Dynamics CRM, Planned for Q3 2013

Speaking in Rome today, Microsoft's Bill Patterson told Dynamics CRM partners that the Orion release will become the product's next major platform update in the third quarter of 2013. And in the second quarter of 2013 Microsoft is planning a release code-named "Gemini" that will introduce MarketingPilot features to the product.

These quarterly releases are part of what Patterson said will be part of the faster release cadence for Dynamics CRM.

Naming of the next major release of Dynamics CRM is not confirmed yet, but based on tweets coming out of the eXtremeCRM Rome event, most bets feel on the Orion release becoming either "CRM 2013" or "CRM 2014". Other features of Orion, as reported by Stéphane Dorrekens on his
