A New Wiki Devoted to Microsoft Dynamics CRM 4.0

by Jason Gumpert
Editor, MSDynamicsWorld.com

Microsoft Dynamics CRM users now can access a Wiki, whose goal is to be "a central hub for the vast amount of information that has accumulated around Microsoft Dynamics CRM both on Microsoft and other community web sites." A Wiki is a special site that allows community participation via additions and editing.

The Dynamics CRM Wiki is the brainchild of John O'Donnell, a Microsoft Dynamics ISV Architect Evangelist, and it should be noted that he has limited it to tools and information having to do with the latest version, Microsoft Dynamics 4.0, and higher versions to come.

He announced it on the Microsoft Dynamics CRM Team Blog, saying the Wiki stems from the time he was a CRM MVP and "I really wanted to create a live FAQ that captured all the knowledge about Dynamics CRM, much of which is locked up in the newsgroup archives."

The Wiki needs some filling out, since right now it has a heavy Microsoft orientation. Among the interesting links is to the Microsoft Dynamics CRM Facebook site, which includes several videos by Jim Glass, the Site Manager of the Microsoft Dynamics CRM Team Blog.

For more videos, there's a link to a Microsoft site with about twenty videos, covering such topics as multi-currency, advanced find, Report Wizard, and security.

There are links as well for installers, implementation planners, developers, and customizers.
