New Mobile Landscape: Dynamics Anywhere Arrives As Microsoft Departs The AX and NAV Mobile Space

In the wake of Microsoft's recent discontinuation of their Dynamics mobile framework (first reported here on September 10), the new "mobile" world order is slowly starting to come into view.

Dalosy, a Dutch company known for developing, delivering and maintaining innovative systems for the automation of mobile business, recently announced the launch of Dynamics Anywhere, a new company that will be focused exclusively on developing mobile solutions for Microsoft Dynamics AX and NAV.

According to Joop van Voorthuijsen, vice president of business development for Dynamics Anywhere, the Dynamics Anywhere product line will be comprised of solutions that "offer users of Dynamics AX and NAV the opportunity to optimize their business processes."

Dalosy and Dynamics Anywhere were part of Microsoft's international Partner Development Center (PDC) program. Van Voorthuijsen said that participating in the PDC program allowed his team to be in close and early communication with Microsoft about their plans and strategies for the mobile space. This allowed Dalosy to define and refine their plans and roadmap for Dynamics Anywhere prior to launch.

Van Voorthuijsen is no stranger to the Dynamics mobile space. He is currently director of the Dutch Partner Developer Center and former CEO and founder of To-Increase, a Dynamics ISV that designs and develops solutions for specific vertical industry segments. He indicated that although plans for Dynamics Anywhere were in the works prior to the news of Microsoft's exit from the mobile framework business, Microsoft's decision certainly "creates an extra opportunity".
